Khoi was initially recommended for piano lessons by several friends, to whom we will forever be grateful! I very quickly understood why everyone sung his praises. I was immediately impressed and inspired by Khoi’s passionate, enthusiastic approach to music and teaching. “Mr. Khoi” has now been teaching our daughter (age 11) piano for three years and our son (age 8) for a year. He has such a warm, gentle, patient nature, with a good sense of humor. His teaching methods include an effective combination of technique, theory, and expression. He believes in working with each individual’s unique personalities, strengths, and needs. We all look forward to the lessons each week as our home is filled with beautiful music. We especially love when Khoi joins the children in duets! It leaves them feeling so proud and part of something even bigger than the learning of their own individual parts. On occasion, we’ve also gotten the privilege to hear him play solos — he is a magnificent pianist and leaves us in awe every time. Our children are always left feeling excited about their own future potential as musicians after watching/hearing Mr. Khoi play. We’ve also appreciated the opportunities for the kids to perform in fun recitals and national certification programs, increasing their exposure to and comfort with performing. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience with Khoi and we highly recommend his services!
