  •

  •                 The key to successful learning is finding the right teacher who cares about your own interests and goals. Brightstar PianoForté Studio provides piano lessons for ages of 4 and up. Although we teach other instruments, the piano lesson is the importance of a strong foundation of music study in our program which helps students quickly understand all fundamental elements of musical concepts and theory.  Our studio has lots of beginners as the piano is physically easy to play for both children and adults. However, if you are an intermediate or advanced level student or take piano lessons more than 3 years, we may need to know more details of your music study background with your previous teachers and challenging pieces of music you have learned. In some cases, we may ask for a video recording of your most recent performance in order for us to better evaluate your current level and ability, and to fit you well with the right teacher.
We also offer lessons for adults and seniors who desire to learn musical instruments or who had childhood piano lessons but did not get the opportunities to continue to progress further. Our teachers provide personalized and high-quality instructions. Whether you desire to learn to play classical, contemporary, pop, rock, jazz and other genres, we cover them all in our music program and our teachers are happy to help you become the pianist you want to be.
All lessons include studies of music theory, ear training, sight reading, techniques. In addition, we offer National Music Certificate Levels for full-time students who take 45 or 60-minute lessons weekly and are qualified for enrollment of Certificates of National Piano Guild offered once a year. For more detailed information of the enrollment to these programs, students/parents may contact the principal teacher for consultations or any questions.
In order to ensure the best quality of your piano study experience, there are a couple of things you will want to have in your home:
A good practice environment:  Having access to a quiet place that is free of distractions will allow students to focus on practicing their music.
A good instrument on which to practice:  An acoustic piano is not necessarily required for beginning and early intermediate levels, but a good electronic piano with 88-weighted keys would do just fine for our teachers to conduct their teaching methods and lesson plans. As a student’s skills and level progress higher, we recommend getting an acoustic piano. You can rent it or buy a used one if cost is a concern. We’re associated with some reputable piano stores in San Diego to help you get the best price on either a brand new or used piano.
Our piano teachers are amongst the best in their profession of piano pedagogical experience with music degrees. All teachers of Brightstar PianoForté Studio had passed their in-person interviews, references and personal background checks. If you’re interested in piano lessons, please fill out our request form and we’ll match you with a right teacher that suits the musical interests you're looking to learn.

Note to parents: If we discover and believe that your child is a prodigy rapidly progressing his/her skills into advanced levels, we can help refer him/her to study with music professors of San Diego State University we are associated with to continue to grow his/her talents as professional levels.
