    rightstar PianoForté Studio has been providing high-quality private music lessons to children and adults with a most comprehensive and thorough music education program since 2010. Private lessons including piano, voice, guitar, violin, and drum are offered with the convenience of learning in student’s home or in our teachers’ studios close to the area you’re located at. We provide music lessons to students with different skills and music background whether who have never laid hands on the musical instrument or who are at advanced levels and simply desired to continue to improve their skills. All instructional plans and pace are tailored to each individual student’s ability, progress, and goals; however, teachers of Brightstar PianoForte Studio are to ensure all students receive the learning outcomes in accordance with learning objectives of each specific level curriculum. Our music teachers are the most talented musicians who receive university degrees in music and are fully committed to providing a fun atmosphere and very supportive learning environment for students of all ages. It is through the new experience on our program along with the commitment and dedication of the incredible team of our teachers that you are able to realize the joyous motive to perform your musical instrument and the love of inspiring knowledge in making intellectual music to express and share your talents with others.

    About the Principal Teacher and Founder of Brightstar PianoForté Studio

    Mr. Khoi Nguyen, the founder of Brightstar PianoForté Studio, is a highly trained choral conductor and an accomplished piano teacher who has taught piano lessons professionally for over 11 years. He studied music and psychology, and graduated from San Diego State University where he studied piano performance with Dr. Karen Follingstad, conducting with Dr. Shannon Kitelinger and piano pedagogy with Dr. Toni James. With his musical and conducting experiences, he took up a position as a choir director to serve the community at his church.
    Mr. Khoi has been inspiring students of all ages to discover the amazing power that music has to cultivate a profound and beneficial source of learning to nourish hearts and minds – creatively, socially, academically, cognitively, and more – for which his students, no matter what the goals, have learned from his insights and musical passion to enrich their pianistic talents that they’ll carry with them for the rest of their lives. Under his instruction and teaching philosophy, he designs a unique lesson plan to meet students’ personal musical goals and interests. Mr. Khoi loves to make students feel good about themselves. His piano teaching opens the doors of opportunities for his students to express their talent and give them a desire and confidence to share it with others.

    The National Piano Guild Certificates

               Everyone can say that they have been learning piano music for years but not all piano students are provided opportunities to earn national certifications that celebrate their levels and achievements. When taking piano lessons with Brightstar PianoForté Studio, we believe it’s important to establish learning goals and specific directions in our music programs of this instrument. We provide programs of National Piano Guild Certificates which offer a higher standard curriculum to achieve significant goals of musical excellence and signify the level of music study as well as a measurement for the progress of our students. The piano Guild program is essentially designed to thoroughly prepare students of all levels who make excellent efforts to take the discipline and greater concentration necessary to pass the examinations and all repertoire performances for certificates provided by the Music Educators National Association. In addition to helping students (from beginning to advanced levels) achieve these certificates, Mr. Khoi, the owner of the studio, also has a solid curriculum of his lesson plan to help high school seniors obtain a high school diploma in music or those who plan to audition for the admission into Bachelor of Music programs at universities. For more details on the enrollment process of these programs, please contact the principal teacher for consultations or any questions.

    The success of Brightstar PianoForté Studio is recognized by the huge contribution of our most talented music teachers in Southern California.  All our highly qualified music teachers earned or are currently completing their university music degrees.     To showcase musical talents and accomplishments, students will enjoy performing for family and friends through performances in our annual mid-June recital to mark the end of the school year and a Halloween recital event along with a costume contest in October.

    Whatever you desire to learn from your lessons,  our teachers can customize lesson plans to meet your personal goals and musical interests to make sure that you are receiving the best music learning experience, while maintaining an exceptional high quality of instructions focusing on all fundamentals and essential techniques of the instrument.

    With Brightstar PianoForté Studio, you can choose taking your lessons in your home, at the main studio or at your teacher’s studio with a wide range of times in order to accommodate your busy schedule. We believe in making your lesson time as flexible and efficient as possible since we don’t rely on one central location to offer our music lessons in San Diego. Our students spend much less time traveling or waiting for another student to finish before their lessons. Thus, you can make the most productivity of your time and your lesson.
